Rock Guitar Licks You Must Know

The backing track is in the key of A, that way you can practice this and really get the sound and the feel of this type of playing in your ears and under your hands. Practicing scales, licks and phrases this way is really great for building your speed, accuracy, and overall technique. 

Use the backing track to learn, and apply the different scale types.  If you need work on learning the patterns, you can work each scale with quarter, eighth, triplets, sixteenths, and sixteenth note triplets. Then do the same with each lick example, practice the licks back to back as you get better at them.
